Directors

Rabbi Laila Haas, Director of Adult Learning and Growth
Rabbi Laila HaasRabbi Haas was born and raised in Miami Beach and grew up as an active member of the Jewish community. She attended The University of Miami and received her Bachelor of Arts as a Judaic Studies major. She earned her Rabbinical Ordination and Masters of Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and a Masters of Education Administration from Xavier University. From 2011-2018, Rabbi Haas served as Associate Rabbi and Director of Education at Temple Emanu-El in Birmingham, Alabama. In Spring 2019, she joined Miami's Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) as Director of Adult Learning and Growth. As a rabbi and educator, she finds joy as people experience awe when Torah awakens their spirit and ignites their quest to learn, study and engage more deeply with the richness of our tradition.

Carla SpectorCarla Spector is Director of Administration for the Department of Adult Learning at the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education, serving as the Director of Administration for Miami's Melton School since 2011.
