The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning is proud to partner with Yesod Europe to launch an online cohort that will be learning Jewish Approaches to Contemporary Ethics. This class, for Jewish community professionals and educators in Europe, will utilize new lessons created for Melton’s Ethics of Jewish Living course. Rabbi Johnny Solomon of Israel will facilitate.
The course tackles some of today’s most challenging ethical issues by learning and analyzing classic and contemporary Jewish texts. The six lessons cover:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Social Media Ethics
- Gender Fluidity
- Environmental Ethics
- Six Approaches to Making Ethical Decisions
- Jewish Universalism and the Seven Noahide Laws
European participants will have the opportunity through this virtual Beit Midrash to discuss and debate these relevant, contemporary ethical issues. This online course will run from Jan. 30 to April 10, 2019.
